My overly simplistic view of why the good charter schools are so good is


that they have less meddling and constraints and forced curriculum compared to the public schools. There are inherently good aspects to charter schools but I do believe that some of the benefit is simply because they have more freedom to operate as teachers and administrators. Cut out some of the red tape and surprise, you find that teachers (for the most part) know what they are doing and know how to educate kids.
